Fireworks, Films, and Faires!
June is coming to an end and there are so many things to do in July! It’s fireworks season! Here is a fun-filled list to help you plan your July:
There are thousands of Independence Day celebrations all across this beautiful land so you’ll definitely find a fireworks display to watch with your loved ones. In downtown Milwaukee, you can start your 4th of July fun on July 3! The Fireworks Kite Festival will kick off at 11 a.m. at Veteran’s Park, hosted by Gift of Wings. The kites will fly until the US Bank Fireworks at the Lakefront begin at dusk (around 9:25 p.m.). If you’re looking for a slightly smaller celebration, you may want to check any one of the fireworks shows at parks throughout the city. If you’re out of the city head down to the 4th of July Parade & Hometown Celebration in Cedarburg, or the 4th of July Festival in New Berlin.
- Do you ever crave nostalgia and laughter? You won’t want to miss out on the Avalon Theater’s Second Saturday Classics, and they show movies from days past. This month’s movie is The Pink Panther(1963). You can catch Peter Sellers as Inspector Clouseau on Saturday, July 14, at 10:30 a.m.
If you’ve never been to a Renaissance Faire now is your chance! Starting on July 7 and running through September 3, on Saturdays and Sundays, you can be transported to a fantasy medieval land with kings and queens, jousting knights, fairies, and wide variety of other eclectic characters. The Bristol Renaissance Faire is one of the largest fairs in the country with amazing performances, extensive marketplace, food, drink, games, rides, and more. This weekend adventure is so much fun for all ages.
